Releasing in December 2006, the follow-up to 2004's Furious EP features 5 tracks plus 4 locked grooves and is available in both black vinyl and a limited number (100) of silvery grey marbled copies. The tracks are all aimed squarely at the dancefloor and range in style through straight up ghettotech ("Gotta Suck Dick"), bass-heavy melodic electro ("Feelin' Fine"), and the jacking booty of "Hoezzat" to the big clubby sounds of "What I Like" and the title track "Retarded".
The Retarded EP contains a bunch of firsts:
- This is the first proper booty/ghettotech record to feature locked grooves.
- The locked grooves are an innovative first in that they have 5 beats per revolution so they can be played in typically fast ghettotech-style sets (150 - 170 BPM). Normal 4 beat locked grooves play at 133.3 BPM but these "ghetto locks" play at 166.6 BPM.
- The locked grooves all line up, allowing the DJ to move the needle from one groove to another without losing the beat. We've never seen this feature on any other locked groove record.

Released in April 2004, the Furious EP was the Non Stop DJs' debut outing on vinyl and a milestone release for the embryonic "UK Bass" genre. Each track represents a different take on the style, ranging from fast-paced futuristic electro to jungle-influenced booty bass, while the sound of Detroit provides a steady and constant inspiration.
Two of the cuts on the EP - "Gator", and the firing title track, "Furious" - were licensed to Novamute for the acclaimed "Cutlass Supreme Presents UK Bass" mix CD, and a special instrumental dub of "Furious" also makes an appearance here. Three entirely new tracks complete the set, making for a distinctive and fresh 12" which has been rocking dancefloors worldwide.
The EP gained great reactions, with Dave Clarke placing it at the #1 spot in his May 2004 electro chart: http://www.daveclarke.com, DJ support around the globe, and play on the UK's BBC Radio 1.
